I love when photographing an engagement session feels like hanging out with the sweetest friends.
Often, the engagement session is the first time I'm meeting each of my couples face to face, so you might wonder, 'How can it feel like meeting up with friends if you've only just met??' I truly can't explain it, aside from the Lord providing me with the most amazing couples and me being a die-hard romantic who is completely invested in each and every one of my couples' life/love stories.
Joey and Oliva have a sweet love story that sounds a bit like something out of a Nicholas Sparks book. The two met as kids and although Olivia wasn't initially interested in Joey beyond friendship, he never gave up and eventually won her heart. (Indeed, when I met Joey, my first impression was of a man who is patient, strong, and completely devoted to his fiancée.)
"Joey asked me to date him on April 27th," Olivia told me. "And that's the reason we want to get married on April 27th." She smiled. "It will be seven years...and then forever!"
